This practice combines elements of Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yin Yoga to gently ease you into the day or evening with breathing exercises, slow stretching, and a smooth flow. We begin and conclude our session with a meditation.

This slow, stretchy style of yoga, often associated with Yin Yoga, focuses on the connective tissues in our bodies. We stay on the floor and hold the poses anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes, allowing the body to relax and let go. This meditative practice, which can also be a part of Restorative Yoga and Hatha Yoga, helps strengthen the joints and allows us to contemplate sensations, thoughts, and feelings.

Relax into restorative shapes with Restorative Yoga while listening and absorbing sound vibrations. Overtone instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks, and others can enhance your experience, helping the mind and body drop into a deep state of relaxation. This is where Hatha Yoga and Yin Yoga practices can allow the body to regulate and heal.
I encourage the use of props to enhance your practice in Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yin Yoga. Items like mats, blocks, blankets, bolsters, and straps can help you align your body and find comfort in your poses. If possible, please bring your props to class, as they can greatly assist in your journey of relaxation and mindfulness.
